Two dozen contributors from many nations, including Stephen McDowell, Providence Foundation President
For one thousand years the Church has sent students to the university, The Third Education Revolution will enable universities and schools to send students to local churches. Digital curriculum, prepared by the world’s best experts and videographers, will also go to the Church online. Students will be mentored by Academic Pastors who will re-integrate character formation, problem solving aptitude, critical thinking and leadership skills with academic education. The community will help develop vocational skills through internship programs. The partnership of Church, university and technology will make high quality education affordable to virtually everyone.
Europe’s first education revolution began during the Carolingian Renaissance (8th and 9th century AD). The Church educated the clergy to “minister” to God both in the Church and the state. That’s why prime “ministers” continue to serve many nations — even if they no longer minister to God.
Martin Luther’s Open Letter to the Christian Nobility of German Nation (1520) began the second revolution. The Church educated every person to serve God as “priest and king.” That democratized knowledge and governance. Now, the secularized version of that education has become incapable of helping students find the meaning of their existence and build character.
“The Third Education Revolution is a series of essays to give you, your family, and your church the blueprint for how to create ‘Pillars of Truth’ for future generations.”
GORDON ROBERTSON, Juris Doctor. President, The Christian Broadcasting Network, Inc.
“Is there hope for us amidst this present modern designer disaster? There is! The essays in this book explain why there is hope… timely, practical, insightful, and encouraging. This book is most highly recommended.”
GEORGE GRANT, Ph.D., author, Pastor of Parish Presbyterian Church, Franklin, TN
“This book… lights a path to the triumph of truth. Here is a manifesto for a needed new revolution in education.”
MICHAEL J. MOBLEY, Ph.D., Director for Research and Innovation, Grand Canyon University Phoenix, AZ
“The university system… is collapsing spiritually, intellectually, and financially. But, right on time, Providence brings forth this volume presenting a new model. It is sustainable spiritually and economically.”
JERRY BOWYER, Financial economist, theologian, speaker, and author.
“A fierce battle is on for America’s soul. It will be won by whoever wins education.”
CHÉ AHN, Ph.D., Founder and President, Harvest International Ministry
“The Third Education Revolution, God willing, will spark a reformation to recover sanity from decades of darkness.”
SAMUEL MUSGRAVE, D.Min., Associate Pastor, Trinity Community Church, Clovis, CA
750 pages, paperback
